Abstract

We have detected the effect of strong correlation between the flow curves of liquid–plastic or dilute polymer composites and the quality of the final material. It is shown that the correlation depth and informativeness noticeably depend of the design of the turbine inducing rotation in viscosimetric study of the composite. We have proposed a method for analyzing experimental results, which is based on the calculation of initial moments up to the third order from the resultant flow curves and is efficient for predicting the possibility of achievement of required quality indices.
