Abstract

A new method for light transmission control is described. Beams pass through directionally transmitting stripes alternating with reflecting, absorbing, or scattering stripes. The mutual arrangement of alternating stripes on two surfaces ensures the incidence angle selectivity of light transmission. A method of grapho-analytical computation is proposed for estimating the effect of geometrical and optical parameters of the stripes on the control characteristics.
