Abstract
It is found that polycrystalline Sm1 + x S semiconductors absorb heat in the temperature range 240–260 K. The thermodynamic parameters of the heat absorption effect are determined. It is shown that this effect is due to the collective transfer of electrons from impurity donor levels to the conduction band.
