Abstract
Two-phase crystal-like structures (CSs) for which the band gap frequencies are much lower than those for traditional single-phase structures are considered. The features of characteristics of such CSs are analyzed using the model of impedance δ inhomogeneities. Versions of realization of two-phase CSs are considered. Experimental and calculated characteristics of single- and two-phase electromagnetic crystals are compared.
