Abstract
It is shown that electrodeposition can be used to obtain hollow metallic nanoparticles with pentagonal symmetry and unique properties. This technique seems to be promising for producing fundamentally new nanomaterials in the form of films, coatings, and powders, and also for making nanofilters.
