Equation for the RMS radius of a relativistic electron beam propagating in dense and rarefied gas-plasma media along an external magnetic field

Abstract

Transport and virial equations, as well as the equation for the mean total transverse energy of a particle from a transverse segment of an electron beam, are used for deriving an expression for the rms radius of a beam propagating in dense and rarefied gas-plasma media along an external magnetic field.
