Abstract

A correlation between macroscopic parameters, such as the Young’s modulus in the Hook law, the sound velocity, and the Debye temperature, and the binding energy of an individual atom is considered. The formula for calculation of elastic deformation modulus is proposed. The relationship between the sound velocity and the binding energy of an individual atom in a solid has been obtained. A simple formula is found for calculation of the sound velocity in a metallic rod. The correlation of the characteristic Debye temperature with the binding energy of an ion in a solid body lattice is proposed.
