Wave velocity and frequency spectrum of longitudinal oscillations of stretched intermetallic nanofilms

Abstract

The wave velocity and the spectrum of eigenfrequencies of longitudinal oscillations in FeAl and NiAl intermetallic alloy nanofilms have been determined based on the recent data on the tensile strained state of the films. These characteristics vary from the well-known to ultralow values depending on the static tensile strain of the films. The frequencies vanish at a certain static strain and drastically increase with a further increase in the strain.
