Polaron-type localized states in ferroelectric ferroelastics

Abstract

The problem of a charged particle in an improper ferroelectric ferroelastic is considered. The existence of the ground and first excited states of the discrete spectrum is established and their dependence on the parameters of the problem is investigated using a direct variational method.
