Abstract
The electronic band structure and x-ray spectra of aluminum in wurtzite-type crystals of BxAl1 − x N compounds are investigated and compared with those of the binary aluminum nitride AlN. The main features and the features revealed for the first time in the L II, III x-ray emission and absorption spectra are interpreted.
