Abstract

The regular and stochastic decays of fast high-frequency waves in a cavity filled with a low-density magnetoactive plasma are studied both theoretically and experimentally. The conditions for the transformation of the regular regime into the stochastic one are determined. The theoretical and experimental results are in a good agreement. Possible applications of stochastic decay are discussed.
