Abstract
The propagation of thermal neutrons through a plane-parallel plate performing periodic oscillations along the neutron beam is considered. A nonstationary eikonal approximation is constructed in order to analyze the process under consideration. The eikonal result is compared with that in the Born approximation. An analytic expression is obtained for the flux of transmitted neutrons.
