Abstract
We have analyzed nonclassical regimes of the impurity transport in a statistically homogeneous sharply contrast medium in the presence of a single large-scale inhomogeneity in the form of an advective channel. Various (classical and nonclassical) transport regimes including fast and slow advection–diffusion, quasi-diffusion, and subdiffusion are realized in the main medium on the path from the impurity source to the channel. The concentration distribution in the channel includes an exponentially small multistage precursor and the main concentration signal, the shape and duration of which depend on the relation between the characteristics of the main medium.
