Abstract

This communication is devoted to the X-ray diffraction study of a single crystal of the compound N '-acetyl-4-formyl-N '-phenylbenzohydrazide. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic space group P\(\bar {1}\). The crystal structure has been solved by direct methods and refined by full matrix least squares procedure to a final R value of 0.0855 for 1886 reflections. The crystal structure is stabilized by hydrogen bonds N–H⋅⋅⋅O, C–H⋅⋅⋅O, and O–H⋅⋅⋅O with the participation of a water solvent molecule.
