Photoelectric lunar-occultation observations of several close binary stars

Astronomy Reports Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

The results of photoelectric lunar-occultation observations for several stars are presented. Some of these are obvious close binary systems, while others are suspected close binaries or multiple systems, or show evidence for the presence of complex structure of some other kind. It is expected that new, efficient interferometric systems will enable detailed studies of the structure of many “ordinary” stars with an angular resolutions of 10−4–10−5 arcsec.
