Abstract
In view of the taxonomic revision of the Fauchea genus based on morphological, molecular and genetic studies and transfer of most of its species, including the type one F. repens, to the genus Gloiocladia [1], a new taxonomic combination was proposed for the recently described representative of the family Faucheaceae in Russian waters of the Pacific Ocean—Gloiocladia guiryi (Selivanova) Selivanova, comb. nov. (basionym: Fauchea guiryi Selivanova).
