Abstract
Results are presented from a study of the internal small-scale structure of the polarization jet/SAID using data from different satellites. The minimum size of irregularities and the typical internal composition of a stratified subauroral ion drift (SSAID) are confirmed. A two-peak structure is found that contains two large strata of the polarization jet/SAID. A shift in latitude is shown for the strata of electron density and temperature, relative to each other.
