Abstract

The problem on limit equilibrium (initial flow) of a plastic material in the convergent channel is solved in the paper. The authors develop the asymmetric solution algorithm to determine the surfaces of deformation localization and the sizes of the formed blocks depending on the channel geometry. The comparison of the proposed solution and experimental results confirm the acceptance of the method for solving the problem.
