Ion chromatography with the selective adsorption of anions during the analysis

Abstract

A method of the selective removal of certain anions from the eluate in an ion chromatographic experiment (the adsorption column method) is proposed for the qualitative and quantitative determination of the removed anions and/or coeluted unadsorbed sample components. The method is suitable for some complex cases of anion analysis (F–/IO -3 Cl–/NO -2 ) using a METROHM ion chromatograph.
