Abstract

The principle of operation of a device for measuring magnetic losses during rotation magnetization reversal of ferromagnetic specimens is described. The designed device is characterized by sufficiently high sensitivity and allows one to reliably determine magnetic losses for small Fe–3% Si single-crystal specimens when the induction and magnetic-field rotation frequency vary from 0.25 to 1.90 T and from 20 to 250 Hz, respectively. In the case of the accurate adjustment of the device, the error of the determination of magnetic losses does not exceed 12–15%.
