Diagnostics of breaks of rotor winding bars in electric motors based on stator current analysis

Abstract

The relevant problem of testing the integrity of rotor winding bars in an electric motor is considered. The existing methods for revealing bar breaks are evaluated and an alternative method based on the stator current analysis is proposed.
