Effect of thermal treatment on acoustic characteristics of materials

Abstract

Measured acoustic characteristics of some structural materials subjected to different types of thermal treatment are presented. Averaging of the ultrasonic waves’ phase when a probe’s dimensions and measurement base increase is observed.
