Green sub-nanosecond microchip laser based on BiBO crystals

Abstract

Frequency doubling of a passively Q-switched microchip laser using BiBO crystals is reported. Generation of green second harmonic at 532 nm with pulse energies of 2.4–3.4 μJ and conversion efficiency of 25–35% is demonstrated.
