Abstract

This paper focuses on the sol-gel aided screen-printed synthesis of Cd1 – xCuxO (x = 0.02) film and investigation on its physical properties. (111) oriented cubic phase of film was argued by diffraction pattern (XRD). The morphology (surface) analysis of the film was done via SEM. Typical EDS spectrum corroborates the presence of desired elements (Cd, Cu, O) in the film. Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) authorizes the direct band gap of ~2.43 eV for the film. Two probes set up approves a resistivity of the order of 10–3 Ω cm for the film. From the Hall effect exploration, the n-type conduction is verified for the film. Reported physical properties of Cd1 – xCuxO (x = 0.02) film in this paper may be suitable for diversity of applications of materials science.
