Abstract
Two models of polarization forces generated inside a carbon nanotube by a moving point charge are considered. In the first model, carbon atoms are replaced by equivalent spherical dielectrics; in the second model, the carbon nanotube is replaced by a homogeneous hollow dielectric tube.
