Abstract
In this paper, a model explanation for the angular oscillations of an ion beam transmitted through a capillary in the case of a nonzero ion entry angle into it is proposed. A “jet” model for charging capillary walls is developed; it is a good tool for the numerical solution of problems involving the Monte Carlo simulation of ion trajectories in the study of ion propagation through macrocapillaries in the case in which it is impossible to trace the number of trajectories equivalent to that of ions in experiments.
