Abstract
A sufficiently general approach to cloud formation has been developed. It is based on the heat and water-vapor flow (balance) equations in a turbulent atmosphere. We obtain the equations for cloud water content, taking into account the influence of not only vertical movement (significantly accurate to within sign, in comparison to the widely accepted one), but of heat and cold advection and turbulence exchange. The determined dependences allow us to understand (interpret) the conditions of formation and development of many forms of clouds observed in nature.
