Abstract

The possibilities of application of carbonized paper (CP) for preparation of carbon-containing material modified with various electroactive compounds and composites both in the acidic and alkaline media are studied. It is shown that carbonized paper is an adequate substrate for the electrochemical synthesis of poly-o-phenylenediamine electroactive polymer, nickel oxygen compounds from nickel sulfonated phthalocyanine (NiTsPc), as well as for the chemisorption of silicododecamolybdic acid (SiMo). It is shown that CP modified with nickel compounds can be used as the catalyst for the electrooxidation of ethylene glycol (EG).
