Abstract

A possibility for determining the metal corrosion current in the acidic solutions in the absence of external polarization is considered. The calculations are based on the analysis of time dependence of the amount of electrolyte with a lower pH value (as compared with the pH value of the working solution), which was introduced into the measuring cell in order to compensate an increase of the pH value in the course of corrosion.
