Modifying aluminum-based matrix structures by cathodic insertion

Abstract

The effect of the temperature of a phosphate treatment on the kinetics of subsequent cathodic insertion of lanthanum and lithium is studied. The effect of the temperature on the processes of cathodic insertion of lanthanum and lithium into Al(phosphate) and LaAl(phosphate)—electrodes at the stages of the formation of, respectively, a solid solution and an intermetallic compound—is studied.
