Abstract

The frequencies of genotypes and alleles for SNP of antioxidant genes (SOD1, SOD2, CAT, GPX4) and EDN1 and NOS3 were investigated in women with pregnancy loss. The 7958A allele of the SOD1 gene was associated with an increased risk of spontaneous abortion in the first trimester (OR = 2.17, 95% CI = 1.14–4.13). Women with the Asn/Asn genotype of the EDN1 gene have an increased risk of miscarriage in the first trimester (OR = 7.18, 95% CI = 1.4–36.75). An association with increased risk of pregnancy loss in the first trimester was found for the NOS3 –786T allele (OR = 1.68, 95% CI = 1.04–2.72). The significant models of gene-gene interaction changing the risk of miscarriage were revealed.
