Abstract

While many of reliable experimental data are available for the intrinsic viscosity [η], the data interested to the Huggins coefficient variation are relatively rare. This situation is unfortunate because the Huggins coefficient contains important information related to the molecules shape, the intra and the intermolecular interactions. Thereby, after exploiting the data associated to the reduced viscosity variation from our previous work [1], we have the idea to interpret the high values of the Huggins coefficient corresponding to the solution of polyethylene glycol (PEG) with average molecular weight of 3.5 × 104. The set of data that we want to interpret is obtained for various concentrations, pH and temperatures.
