Abstract
The effects of various precipitators (inorganic and organic acids and mono-and polyatomic alcohols) on the solution behavior of the vinylidene fluoride copolymer with tetrafluroethylene (fluoroplastic F-42) and the characteristics of the related porous films have been studied. The used precipitators may be divided into two groups differing in precipitation numbers, namely, hard and soft. When hard precipitators initiating liquid-liquid demixing are introduced into solutions, relatively high-flux porous films may be cast. Soft precipitators cause gelation of the system owing to a partial crystallization of the polymer and afford films lacking hydraulic permeability.
