Abstract
The sorption properties of schungite and its aminated form for phenol extracted from its one-component solutions and solutions in the presence of organic admixtures were examined depending on the carbon content of schungite samples and the phenol concentration in solution. It was shown that the modification of the schungite surface by the introduction of amino groups results in the formation of new sorption sites and porosity, thus enhancing the removal of phenol from its solutions.
