Interethnic differences in biochemical adaptation of the population of Gornyi Altai

Abstract

The actual nutrition of aboriginal Russian, Altaian, and Kazakh populations in Gornyi Altai has been examined. The detected interpopulation differences in quantitative intake of macronutrients are related to ethnicity. Blood biochemical parameters correlate with quantitative macronutrient composition of the diet.
