Abstract
The dependence of changes in normal body temperature after psychotherapy sessions (rapid relaxation) in the right and left axillae and sublingual area in adolescents during medical rehabilitation after reconstructive heart surgery (congenital malformations) and musculoskeletal system reconstructive surgery (congenital and acquired malformations) was studied. An opposite direction of shifts of body temperature depending on its initial level was found. If the initial body temperature was close to the upper limit of the normal range before the psychotherapy session, then a decrease in this index was observed after the session (40 min after the initial temperature measurement); conversely, an increase in body temperature occurred if it was initially low. Some possible explanations of the observed “scissors phenomenon” are proposed.
