Abstract

Comprehensive physicochemical (Selector software package), paleoecological, and hydrobiological studies of two lakes-Pai-Kunjavr (Gol’tsovoe) and Bol’shoi Vudjavr (the Khibiny Mountain Massif) was carried out for the first time. Reconstruction of natural waters and wastes was performed, the present-day state of the ionic composition of natural waters, diatomic complexes, and zooplankton communities was assessed with the aim to determine the degree of transformation of Lake Bol’shoi Vudjavr under technogenic impact. The results are of practical and methodological significance for the assessment of long-term anthropogenic impact on subarctic aquatic ecosystems.
