Application of the theory of truncated probability distributions to studying minimal river runoff: Normal and gamma distributions

Abstract

The possibility of applying unilaterally truncated probability distributions of minimal water flow is considered. Relationships between moment estimates of truncated and full distributions are considered for the case of normal and gamma distributions.
