Abstract
Fossil fuels-natural gas, oil, and coal account for more than 80% of the total energy sources consumed in the world. With due regard for the factual moratorium on the commissioning of new nuclear power plants until the end of the 21st century, as well as moderate role of renewable energy sources, this trend will persist for a rather long time, and marked changes in the dynamics of the structure of consumption will be observed.
