Abstract

Current state and basic problems of development of power industry in Russia, goals, initial conditions, and basic provisions of the strategy of development of power industry for the period until 2030 are considered, including basic provisions of development of generating facilities and electric networks, ensuring reliability, improvement of control system, development of innovation technologies, and satisfaction of environment-protection requirements; investment needs are estimated, electric power cost is predicted, and indicators of strategic development of power industry in Russia are discussed.
