A numerical study of the thermal efficiency of a tubular heating surface with split spiral-tape finning

Abstract

A procedure for calculating the thermal state of a tubular heating surface with split spiral-tape finning is described, and the results from a numerical study of the effect of finning’s geometrical characteristics on the thermal efficiency of the surface are presented.
