Analytical models with parameters distributed over the length describing the hydrodynamics of single-phase flow are presented. Errors appearing in the frequency area due to accepted simplifications are analyzed. It is shown that the commonly used point models have low accuracy and describe the dynamics of processes only qualitatively.
