Abstract

A brief review of investigations into liquid distribution between the flow core and wall film in tubes previously carried out is given. The relationship between mass transfer processes and heat transfer crisis is shown. The procedure of calculating heat transfer crisis in tubes with uniform heat input along the length based on experimental data from the databank of the Physics and Power Engineering Institute (FEI) is presented.
