Abstract

Matters concerning the development, certification, and application of software tools for calculating the rate of erosion-corrosion wear (ECW) of the walls of pipelines at nuclear power stations are discussed. The effect of deposits on the trustworthiness of the results from operational monitoring is analyzed. The influence of the layout of pipelines, degree of flow turbulization, geometry of pipeline system elements, and other factors on ECW is discussed. Approaches to development of a procedure for calculating the permissible thickness of pipeline walls experiencing ECW are considered.
