Abstract

We present the results of an investigation into the dynamics of change in the energy intensity of the gross regional product of Sverdlovsk oblast in 1996–2003. We also show that it is possible in principle to increase the indicators characterizing the regional economy with almost no increase in the consumption of primary fuel.
