Abstract
We describe the water chemistry of circulation heat-transfer systems (cooling and heat-supply networks) at which the pH value of the circulation water lies in the range 7.0–8.3. The use of this unified range of pH values prevents the possibility of carbonate scale forming on the surface of heat-transfer equipment without softening and additional (not related with controlling the pH value) acidification of makeup water.
