Abstract

Modern achievements are considered in the field of enhancement of heat transfer in tubular heat exchangers. The requirements are stated to be met by highly efficient tubular heat exchange surfaces. It is shown that it is quite possible to make tubular heat exchangers more compact than the plate-type ones. A critical analysis of the up-to-date methods for evaluation of the efficiency of heat transfer enhancement in channels is presented.
