Abstract

Nanocomposites consisting of the heat-resistant amorphous constructional polymer polysulfone and an organomodified nanosilicate have been synthesized. The effect of the method of introduction of the nanosilicate into the thermoplastic matrix on the processing and performance characteristics of the resulting polymer-silicate nanocomposite has been investigated. The most efficient method of obtaining the composite is extrusion mixing using a nanosilicate superconcentrate.
