Abstract

Momentum conservation law is used to quantify the kinematic characteristics of a group of particles differing from each other in mechanical properties and shape that are suspended in an upward air flow. It is shown that a mixture of particles with different air drag coefficients can be efficiently separated in a vertical pneumatically separating channel
