Preliminary results of comparison of satellite measurements to numerical simulations of some parameters of the Earth’s upper atmosphere

Abstract

The measurement data obtained onboard the CORONAS-F spacecraft are compared to the parameters of the Earth’s upper atmosphere calculated by models. Examination of model results and their comparison to the experimental data show that current models of the Earth’s atmosphere should be corrected. Possible ways of solving this problem are discussed.
